Javier Valdivias
Biologist
Javier began his career with the District in 2019 as a Lab intern, he was later promoted to Biologist in 2020 and is responsible for the insecticide resistance monitoring program and the maintenance of susceptible mosquito colonies.
He holds a B.A. in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Javier is certified by the California Department of Public Health as a Vector Control Technician in Categories A through D.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family.
